Oyster Boys Conservation

This is the first episode in the relaunch of our official IDEAS For Us podcast!

Oysters are a keystone species. They filter water at 50 gallons per day, they protect shorelines, and they provide habitat for a lot of juvenile species. They are powerhouses. Oyster Boys Conservation’s mission is to get “more of them boys back in the water!”

We sat down with Oyster Boys Dom and Skylar to talk about threats to water quality on Florida’s Coast and beyond and how OBC is intervening with Vertical Oyster Gardens. Listen about their deployment of VOG’s on Florida’s Sun Coast.
