About Neighborhood Naturalist

Neighborhood Naturalist is an educational program that educates youth on the wonders of the natural Florida environment at Lake Lorna Doone Park in Orlando, Florida. Led by our professional Naturalist, Ana Zuccarini, children can play fun games, make eco-art, and tour the natural Florida environment.

Children’s Ecology in Action Day

When: Every Tuesday 10 am – 11 am

Where: 1813-1927 W Church Street, Orlando, FL 32805

What: Join us for our weekly Ecology in Action Day! This is a Free educational event geared towards toddlers and kids 2-4 years old (Although other ages are welcome as well). Our IDEAS For Us Neighborhood Naturalist (or Educator) will lead children in hands-on crafts and games that are inspired by nature at Lake Lorna Doone Park! Our lessons and activities are geared to help children understand their surroundings better with lessons based in ecology and activities like: Gardening, Faery villages, Earth and Mud Play, Animal Tai Chi/ Yoga and more!

*Bring walking shoes, reuseable water bottle, hat, and all other tools will be provided. Children must be looked after by an adult at all times.

Naturalist Nature Walk Day (for kids!)

When: Every first Saturday of the month 11 am – 12 pm

Where: 1813-1927 W Church Street, Orlando, FL 32805

What: Join us for our monthly Naturalist Nature Walk Day! This is an educational event geared towards kids 5 – 10 yrs old (although other ages are welcome as well). Our IDEAS For Us Neighborhood Naturalist (or Educator) will lead children on a Nature Walk at Lake Lorna Doone Park teaching about Florida nature!

*Bring walking shoes, reuseable water bottle, hat, and all other tools will be provided. Children must be looked after by an adult at all times.
