IDEAS For Us is an environmental action organization that has been developing ideas, funding projects, and scaling solutions since 2008. We work across five pillars: Energy, Water, Food, Waste, and Ecology — serving communities in Florida and in nearly 40 countries worldwide. We are driven by one conviction: that everyday people are the solution to the greatest environmental challenges of our time.
Our work is rooted in the belief that everyday people have the power to solve the greatest environmental challenges of our time. Through education, community engagement, and hands-on action, IDEAS helps turn local concerns into real projects that improve neighborhoods, protect natural resources, expand food access, reduce waste, and build climate resilience.
IDEAS For Us develops and implements community-based environmental projects that create measurable local impact. Our work includes urban agriculture, school gardens, ecological restoration, renewable energy initiatives, shoreline stabilization, native landscaping, food distribution programs, sustainability planning, and green workforce training.
We partner with neighborhoods, schools, municipalities, nonprofits, and businesses to design solutions tailored to the needs of each community. Many of our projects begin as small local initiatives and grow into long-term programs, partnerships, and policy-driven environmental action.
From transforming underutilized land into productive urban farms to restoring waterways and training the next generation of environmental leaders, IDEAS creates practical sustainability solutions that improve both communities and ecosystems.

IDEAS For Us (IDEAS) is a 501(c)(3) grassroots environmental non-profit organization and accredited NGO of the United Nations. IDEAS creates global environmental solutions through local action related to energy, water, food, waste, and ecology. Our mission is to develop ideas, fund action, and also scale solutions to the world’s most pressing environmental challenges. With every step, we’re moving closer to a world where humanity thrives in harmony with nature and also in peace with one another.
