Become an Administrative Assistant Intern

Interning for the Fleet Farming program is ideal for someone who is passionate about local, organic food and interested in furthering their experience in the field of non-profit administration. Interns will assist on location with content creation, organization, research, and/or management of projects associated with this department. Through the program, the intern will learn about sustainability, urban agriculture, brand development, time management, effectively working in groups, community outreach, and much more.

Applicants should be eager to learn, hard working with a positive attitude, and have a sense of humor. All duties & responsibilities listed below are facilitated under close observation through a mentor-trainee relationship.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Some experience in working with the relative topic of writing
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Positive attitude, sense of humor is a plus
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • College student

Duties may include one or some of the following:

  • Researching topics related to sustainability, urban agriculture, cooking, ecology, and more
  • Clerical Work: scanning, managing Google Drive, creating email templates, etc.
  • Communicating projects and strategies with team members
  • Scheduling, planning, and assistance to the Program Director
  • Organizing the office and records of the Fleet Farming headquarters
  • Light graphic design on Canva (no previous experience required)
