IDEAS For Uganda Wins MIT’s Climate Colab Contest: Popular Choice
IDEAS For Uganda has been formally invited to Massachusetts Institution of Technology (MIT) for winning popular vote on Climate CoLab Land Use category. The Uganda chapter has innovated a gardening solution that produces the same amount of food in one-fourth of the space. Their Vertical Micro-Gardening solution is self contained and has an entire ecosystem that helps maximize harvest. The project addresses urban food solutions.
Friends of IDEAS For Us have taken notice to this project, dedicated their time, and casted their vote. We thank each and every person who voted for this project, especially those who shared it with their friends.
The Vertical Micro-Gardening proposal will be vetted in the upcoming MIT Crowds & Climate Conference on September 28-29. The proposal will be judged among the 30 total. The potential Grand Prize of $10,000 will be awarded to the winning proposal to scale the solution and to ultimately address climate change.
