What drew you to IDEAS?
I heard about the Hive through word of mouth from students around campus and a friend educated me about values of IDEAS and the work they have done which made me interested in becoming a part of this organization.
Of the 5 pillars of sustainability (energy, water, food, waste, and ecology), which is the most important to you? And why?
It is hard to decide because each of the pillars overlap in some way, but if I had to choose it would be energy because climate change poses the greatest threat to humanity and it is imperative we transition to renewable resources as quick as possible in order to combat the effects of global warming. As a culture is based on energy, once we completely transition to renewables and adjust our lifestyles to using less energy the other pillars of sustainability will be easier to manage.
What are your plans after graduation?
I want to take a year off to do either an internship or some type of mentorship work in the environmental/political field before attending law school.
